Community Leadership

Uplifting community leaders, advocates, and CALD groups to grow, connect, and create lasting change.

About Our Program

Are you a community leader or part of an emerging community looking for support and resources? Our Community Capacity Building Program is designed to empower you, strengthen your leadership skills, and connect you with the right networks to advocate for your community.

We follow an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which means we work with you and your community, not just for you. By listening to your experiences, culture, strengths, and challenges, we ensure that the programs we develop are community-led and sustainable.

Community leaders visit Legislative Council chamber to learn about civic leadership.

So far, we have successfully engaged over 60 community leaders from more than 20 CALD backgrounds, including Middle Eastern, North African, Bengali, Hindi, Chinese, Vietnamese, Rohingya, Nepalese, African, Bosnian, Sri Lankan, Ukrainian, and Indonesian communities.
