About Our Program

At Metro Assist, we understand that settling in a new country can be challenging. That’s why we’ve designed a fun and comprehensive youth program just for you! If you’re aged 12-25 and have a refugee background, are a humanitarian entrant, or a migrant new to Australia, our programs will help you build confidence, develop skills, and connect with your new community.

How Can Metro Assist Support me?

We offer a range of services, including casework support, group programs, workshops, and youth events to help you navigate your new environment.

Can you provide me with personalised support?

Yes, our settlement youth case workers are here to empower you in your first five years in Australia by:

  • Helping you access essential services
  • Providing referrals and advocacy
  • Offering individual and group consultations
  • Conducting information sessions on youth-related topics

What School Programs and Workshops Can I Join?

We offer tailored programs to help you build skills and confidence, including:

Homework Club: A dedicated space where you can complete your schoolwork in a productive and supportive environment.

We provide support at the following schools:

Belmore Boys, Condell Park High, Beverly Hills IEC, Chester Hill IEC, Bankstown Senior College/IEC, Punchbowl Boys, Holy Spirit College, Thomas Reddall High, Birrong Boys, Chester Hill High, Bankstown Girls, Sir Joseph Banks, East Hills Girls, Miller IEC, Liverpool IEC, and Fairfield High.

What Youth Events Can You Attend?

We host various youth-focused events throughout the year where you can meet new people, have fun, and get involved in your community. These include:

  • Youth conferences
  • Festivals
  • Barbeques


These events provide a great opportunity for you to engage, learn, and connect with others in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
